Who Says This Economy is on the Rebound?
Our money-motivated son Jack woke up this morning and made a list of things he wants to do before the summer is over. He looked over his list and decided that if he was ever going to get that Pillow Pet that he has had his eye on from the infomercials, he had better start bringing in some extra cash. He set up a stand at the curb, designed some signage and then sat down to wait for the money to roll in. It was hot and when I took these photos it had been about an hour with no customers yet. He was learning a little about how the rest of us have been feeling in this day and age. Emily next door told me that he was complaining to her that no one was stopping when they drove by even despite his efforts to "wave and smile really big." After a while his friends showed up and then the generous neighbors who drove by took pity on him and bought a glass. Business was so good for a few minutes there that he ran out of cups. As a matter of fact, I have received information from a reliable source that Jack was practicing receptacle reusal. I'm pretty sure two of my adult neighbors unknowingly drank from the same cup. Sorry Cory and Jana. Who knows what other kinds of health dept. violations occured in my front yard today, but what do you do. So thank you to all those great neighbors and friends who showed our Jack a little love today. I hope you are all feeling well.

It's a pillow... it's a pet... It's a pillow pet! I think that's too funny! Easton likes PBS, and they have commercials for those things ALL the time! I've gotten to know the tune pretty well!
Hey Brooklyn wants one of those too but she is not willing to work for it. She said she will ask Santa. Yeah, I know it is July. Maybe she could learn a thing or two from Jack
I think we might have a food borne illness at our house because of the unsanitary conditions. Just kidding! Jack is such a great kid!
My kids have been begging to sell lemonade, maybe I will let them this week.
You live in Utah, Jack needs to step it up and get into a multi-level marketing scheme that involves selling lemonade stand franchise rights to other kids in the neighborhood.

So cute! That's hilarious about the pillow pet. My Jack has been begging for one too - ever since the darn commercials started airing!
