Targhee's grandpa turned 80 and we had a family party to beat all parties. Targhee's Aunt Traci always plans the most amazingly elaborate and fun events for our family. This year it was a cowboy theme and we all got into the spirit. There were pony rides, a bucking bronco, panning for gold, a shootin' range, and even some melodramatic entertainment. Targ's family came from all over including Pennsylvania and Seattle and neighbors and church friends were there too. There was a huge country buffet and all the food was delicious. I am saying all of this in a western accent in my head for some reason. Yee haw! The great-grand kids each told a cowboy joke or anecdote to the crowd and following that there was a disturbance in the party when Black Bart (John Holman) was spotted on the roof of the shed out back. The damsel in distress (Auntie Dutch) was flustered and called for the Sheriff (Targhee.) Black Bart was accused of "stealin' Jack's irrigation water and carousin' around with his women." A shoot-out ensued which resulted in Black Bart falling from the shed and peace being restored to the party. We all had a blast and because of Aunt Traci's efforts our family will remember that fun night forever! Click on each collage if you want to see the pictures up close.
