You may see this picture of Evan enjoying his sugary treat and think that it is just another example of permissive parenting. Well, usually thats true, but this time he truly deserves it. I am indulging him with lots of treats lately because over the last two weeks, he has been potty trained. Quite frankly, I think I'd let him drive the car if he asked. It has not been bad, either. He is such a good, smart boy. Maybe by posting this I am setting myself up for a major relapse, but he seems to totally get it. I can't claim all the credit, however. I think the Lord knows that if we had this baby in September and a 2 yr old to potty train and me being alone most of the time, my mental state would be seriously strained. I think its sort of a freebie. Anyway, we are so proud of our little Evan. What will we do with that extra diaper money?

Yipee!! Be sure to buy extra fireworks to celebrate!! Having done the potty training thing while juggling a newborn, I must say that Evan truly is the Golden Child for the time being. Way to go! I think lots of yummy treats are absolutely in order. Keep smiling!
