We went fishing yesterday. Well, we went to the fish farm. You be the judge as to whether or not that counts as "fishing." Our boys thought it was pretty great, though. Jack caught three and Evan two fish in the space of about 5 minutes. I had to take these pictures pretty fast. We spent the rest of the time waiting for our fish to be cleaned and watching others fish. The boys went around to everyone fishing and asked them if they could "see/play with" their fish. Since our boys seem to share Targhee's spirit of competion there was also a cold tolerance test. We were to hold our hands in the freezing cold water and try to outlast our opponent. Jack beat me handily, but he and Targhee both held out for some time until both their hands were red and numb. The day also included lengthy conversation about moss and a debate about if it was possible to catch a fish with your bare hands. There were field studies done on both. The trip ended badly, however with Jack crying because he did not want the fish to die. It's not what you think, though. We discovered that he was not sad for the fate of the fish, but sad that they were useless as playthings once they were dead. We had a great time anyway. We love having long days to spend with Targhee since his schedule is so busy. He is such a great husband and dad, and it seems that he can ALMOST catch a fish with his bare hands.

Hi Boys,
There's that boy with the orange shirt. You look so cute at the farm fishing. I am glad that you caught those fish. I bet you can't guess what Grandma is sending you for your birthday? It starts with the letter o.
Love ya, Grandma Child
I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE the weaponry picture!!! I laugh so hard every time I see it. Thank you for the perspective--I think Jack needs a great persona/nickname. AND-- the phrase "Jack, Jack Attack" from The Incredibles has a whole new meaning!
How fun! We've had some good times at the fish farm too. Also, I loved the pics of preschool graduation. I'm glad the rest of the ward is going to experience Jelly Bean Junction this year. Don't you think you and I should get some kind of advertisement kick back from the Jelly Beans?
You guys do such fun outings. Spence would love that. We probably should let him outdoors every once in a while. ;)
J your the man with that heavy artillary!! Come and play at our house sometime! T would love it!
Lauri
Thats quite an intimiating picture of Jack that you have... definately heavy on weaponry, which reminds me, we have a picture from when we visited that continues to prove your theory. Ill have to e-mail it to you.
