I have decided that for these posts I want to record the things about our kids that are specific to their personalities right now in their lives. Evan loved preschool. He is a child who prefers to play with friends rather than with toys. When Christmas or a birthday comes around I have a hard time deciding what to get him because he rarely plays with toys. He is funny about getting his picture taken lately. He either hides or makes a funny face. He has so much love to give. He is very affectionate and empathetic. When Evan is around I like to refer to it as "being draped in Evan." I often think about how little I have to manage him. He is just so easy. He also has some really great dance moves that he doesn't like being caught doing. He has this head-bob move that is my favorite. He likes to mouth the words to the songs he knows while we are driving in the car. He has this kind of rock-star face while he does it. Hilarious. He gets lots of growing pains in his legs at night. Targhee and I call them his "war wounds." Poor kid. He plays with Drew very patiently and makes sure he has help doing things. That is what Evan is like right now and I want to always remember it.
