Jack graduated from Kindergarten this week. He has had such a wonderful experience with his teacher, Mrs. Phillips. She is such a gifted lady who amazes me with her ability to manage a class of 25 students by herself (she has 25 more in the PM!) Jack thinks she is the greatest person on Earth. After having the opportunity to help out in his class this year, I am more converted to the idea that good teachers should be paid more and should have all the resources they need. I wish our society could put all the time and energy we spend on celebrities and athletes into supporting our teachers, the true heroes that have a REAL effect on our families and our future.

Amen sister, even though I do read People Magazine and watch E! news occasionally! Let's hope for good 1st grade teachers.
