Reunited and it Tastes SO Good
OK, so in my mind this is shaping up to be the biggest dorky sister missionary post of them all. I fully expect a very degrading comment from my brother Jared, but I am doing it anyway. The past few years I have been trying to recreate many of the awesome dishes I tried as a missionary in Spain. I admit I have even dreamt about some of this food. When I was pregnant I would crave things that don't exist in this country. Since I have been a mom and as my kids get older I am constantly trying to expand my menu of dinner options. I have been making Lentejas and Tortilla de Patatas since I was married and last year I finally figured out a good Paella, but there has been one dish that has eluded me. I would have Potaje de Garbanzos at the Soria family's house every other week in Jerez where I served for six months. I would always eat way too much and it was always so AMAZING! I have looked online for years, but none of the recipes ever looked right to me. Finally, since I have been back in touch with some friends from that town, I decided to ask my good friend Maite about the recipe. She emailed it the next day and I made it on Saturday. LOVE IT!!! I will definitely be adding it to my repetoire. Thanks, Maite. Jared, if you are nice, maybe I will make it for you someday. I will now insert a picture of the dish above. I will not, however, be posting a picture of how fat I got eating food like this on my mission.

Looks good...I am curious to know the ingredients.
Is your lentejas recipe a potaje de lentejas or something else? If so, would love to get my hands on that recipe!
oh the memories are flooding in! Send me recipe if you get the chance.
Excuse me, but why are you doing a post like this and not including the recipe?! :)
