I just thought I would share a moment from our Family Home Evening lesson last night.
Targhee: OK, so when someone knocks on the door, do we know who it is?
Jack & Evan: Yeah, its our friends or someone.
Targhee: But if we don't open the door first, do we know who's there?
Jack & Evan: No, I guess not.
Targhee: From now on our new family rule is that we do not open the door unless Mom or Dad specifically says, "OK, you can open the door now."
Jack & Evan: OK, Dad.
Targhee: Have you ever seen Mom or Dad open the door in their underwear?
Jack & Evan (thinking): No
Targhee: From now on, if you have any interest in opening the door you must be wearing clothes.
Jack & Evan: Our pajamas are OK, right? How about just pants?
Targhee: So, what if Mom is in the shower and someone knocks on the door?
Jack: We don't open it. Unless Mom peeks around naked or in her underwear and says its OK.
Targhee: So, let's practice. Can you answer the door in your underwear and socks?
Jack & Evan (thinking about the trick question): No, that's still not dressed.
Targhee: What about underwear and a watch?
Jack & Evan: Nope.
Targhee: Underwear and a belt?
Jack & Evan: Still no.
Me: Underwear and a necktie?
Jack & Evan (looking sure this time): No, that's still not dressed.
We hope this lesson will help to reform things around here. Maybe someday our FHE lessons will include more doctrinally relevant topics.

What a great lesson. Let me know if you want me to come and knock when you are in the shower, just to test them.
OK, I am laughing to hard to really comment! That is priceless.
But what you didn't tell them is that an underwear-socks-watch-necktie combo is basically dressed.
I love that answering the door in your underwear is the thing you want your family to work on. Better than disrespect and lack of graitude (our last FHE)
