I hope You Don't Hold Stock in Albertsons

I know that I will be made fun of by more than one person for this particular BLOG entry, but I can't help myself. Over the past 6 months I have been using an internet coupon site with Sunday paper manufacturers coupons and it has become something of an obsession for me to save money on our groceries. I told Targhee that sometimes when I am clipping the coupons and I realize how much free stuff I am getting or when I am in line to check-out and the lady starts scanning all my coupons, my heartrate goes up a little and my face gets flushed with excitement. Today was one of those days. I got everything in this picture today at Albertsons for $30.

Thirty boxes of cereal (30!!!), 5 boxes of those yummy Fiber One bars that are usually like $3 a box, 4 boxes of fruit snacks, 2 bags of Chex Mix and 5 boxes of butter. Total savings, ******$123.38******

I hope the kids feel like cereal for breakfast.

You rock! I love those "exciting" moments in the grocery store! I don't know if you saw the ad in Sunday's paper about Smith's adding 10% to gift cards purchased in $300, $600 or $1200 amounts thru July. You may or may not do much shopping there, but an immediate return of 10% on your money is great! Plus, you'll get a discount buying gas there, too. Happy bargain shopping.

Hey Girl-me and Amy made a run there too earlier this morning. Makes you feel so good when you get such a killer deal!

I hope Grandpa Jack doesn't read your blog...imagine the disappointment on his face. I thought you only shopped at Smith's.

I looked through my coupons and will be able to get 10 boxes of cereal for about $4.75. Not bad!

HAHAHAHAAAAAA! That is awesome! So, did you really want all that cereal, or was it just part of the obsession?
You need to teach me your tricks!

You're a woman after my own heart, Julie. And if your husband wants butter for breakfast, give the man butter.
