Targhee's Garden Begins
Targhee has been sketching and planning all winter long for his upcoming garden. He had great success with last year's garden and we are all looking forward to lots of good stuff to eat again this year. For Family Home Evening this week we planted a few seeds in starter boxes so that they will be ready to go in the ground in a few weeks. The boys did surprisingly well with putting the little seeds into the dirt pods with their small fingers. Evan only ate one cabbage seed. Some of the plants scheduled for the garden this year are, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflour, tomatoes, peppers, peas, corn, pumpkins, cucumbers, multiple squash, zucchini, flowers to cut, fresh herbs (yum!)spinach and hopefully butter lettuce (has anyone had any luck with that in Utah?) It was so fun to have our beautiful lush garden to eat from last year. Spring cannot come soon enough!
